What Would You Do?: A transgender woman is insulted by a man at a diner. This is a really great segment they did where a trans woman, played by a real trans woman, is insulted and ridiculed by a man (played by an actor, of course) while she serves him at a diner. You’d be surprised at how many people butted in to defend her.

So much faith in humanity restored.

Fucking great how they supported her.

I may need to watch this show more often.

I am literally crying this is making me so happy that there are people who will protect a perfect stranger especially religious people. I’m so used to hearing about people killing, hurting, misgendering people like me that I forget people like this exist.

Apologies for the terrible image quality - I’m lacking scanner access at the minute so I had to take these photos on my phone

I was reading hyperbole and a half’s blog entry explaining their experience of depression and decided to make another sketchy comic based on my experiences with anxiety, which is another mental illness I think people tend to misunderstand quite frequently

Hopefully this will be of use to some people - whether they suffer from anxiety themselves or if they just want to know more about it

I have different anxiety attacks and I am extremely grateful for my boyfriend every time. Because he knows what to do. Some times I need someone to hold me, others I just need air and space; so he opens the window and give me a tall glass of water, and stay outside keeping track that I am breathing.

He only ask what I need during an anxiety attack, only when I’m back to “normal” does he ask me what happen that triggered an attacks and makes sure I am okay, that I am loved and not alone.

Same. My bf will come in and find me lying on the office floor, and instead of giving me a guilt trip or telling me “get over it” or that I’m making Him depressed, he just rubs my back and holds me.

Makes a world of differnce

Not everyone has a special person to help them through the attacks, but that doesn’t mean they’ll never find someone who can. To those who don’t have anyone to talk to/help them, hang in there! It’s not an easy thing, but you can do it!

This lady is so awesome. She lives with her grandma and was studying and had a towel on her head and no shoes but she chased them out of her garden, kicked one up the arse as he climbed a fence, they dropped a camera and laptop, she flagged down a passing driver to help her continue the pursuit, and it turned out he was ex-military, and they finally caught one of them in a park and pinned him as the police arrived. Now she’s going to visit the burglar in prison for the next few months to help with his rehabilitation.

So in summary:

This lady doesn’t just defend her home and loved ones, she will hunt you down, team up with other skilled individuals, get you put away, and then teach you the consequences of your actions until you’re a valuable member of society once more.

Seriously she’s a frigging superhero.
